When the Fomori ruled, we were killed for using iron. We learned that it was poison to them - its very nature a blight on their twisted souls. So we sought it where we could, stole it from the hidden cairns that the cruel fae had not yet spoiled. Eventually, we had enough to forge a sword - a sword to kill a fairy king.
